The stobs were right beside the creek and sometimes the horseshoes went into the water. We had to get the shoe out with a a pole or wade in and get wet.
Everyone tried for a ringer or at least to score points but sometimes the horseshoes had a mind of their own. They would roll, tumble, and fly off in the wrong direction without any encouragement. Bystanders had to keep their wits and jump out of the way when that happened. Getting dinged with a horseshoe hurt!
They got a trophy, beer coosies, and a pot of money.
They were celebrating the horseshoe tournament. Looks like Billy and Raymond were the 1st Place Winners.
These guys are really into the game.
Marie and Ab win the trophy at this Trout Camp Tournament.
Eddie was always at work but we saw him occasionally. He was wearing an Arbor Acres jacket -- Eddie was employed there for decades even after Aviagen bought them out.
This guy with George was only around during Trout Camp. There were a bunch of folks we only saw once a year during Trout Camp at the Shope Fields.

I think Phil was retrieving a horseshoe. At least it did not roll into the river.
Richard loved Trout Camp. He was a people person and liked to have something going on at all times.
Richard had on a PIckle Bash t-shirt. The Pickle Bash was a lot different than Trout Camp but both were fun.
The kids were playing on the rocks. Looked like the water was low that year.
Clint was Billy's brother. He dropped in for an hour or two to watch the horseshoe games.
