The Pickle Bash
By Janice Boling

Road trip to the Pickle Bash in North Carolina

The Pickle Bash was a two-day party. We camped in a pasture, listened to live rock bands, and admired the bikes.

Local Blairsville band Ambush was scheduled to play and a bunch of us from the End of the Pavement went to show our support.

Ambush played that night and was a big hit with the Harley riders and the rest of us.

Angela had a brand new tattoo. Her parents, Retha and Barney, were two of my best friends but they did not come along on this trip.

We were watching one of the bands. The lesser known bands played all through the day.

This was the first time we heard the Kind. They played some great music and introduced me to the band Cracker.

This girl was having a good time. Things were fairly relaxed during the day but at night there were wet t-shirt contests, people running around half-naked, and loud rock music. It was a wild weekend.
