He laid all the blocks in my foundation for a couple cases of beer.
After my mom moved to Blairsville in 1988, Joe would walk to our house early in the morning and sit on the porch until we got up.
The first time, my mom came running into my room scared to death. She was fixing to call the police until I explained.
After that, she and Joe became good friends. We gave him a ride to town whenever he needed one. Joe was a good looking, gentle man with a big heart.
I love this picture of Joe in a straw cowboy hat. Those Browns were some good looking fellows.
Joe had one bad habit. He mumbled when he talked and would have to repeat things. It was OK. Sooner or later we got the message.
Joe liked this picture so much that he had it made into a Christmas card.
He was a cool dude and he knew it.
