Harold at the End of the Pavement
By Janice Boling

Harold was a regular at the End of the Pavement

Harold, better known as Harry, threw a mean horseshoe and was friendly to everyone.

Harold was always laughing at something.

He was a funny man with a good sense of humor.

Mike was Harold's son. He was even better looking than his dad. Mike got the best features from both of his parents. He was also a polite young man with good manners.

A bunch of us were at the Pickle Bash -- a three day party in North Carolina. What a time we had!

Shawn, Marie, Teresa, and Gail took an opportunity to tailgate.

This truck was parked at one end of the horseshoe pits and offered a good view of the action.

Harold ended up with Gail, the lady on the far right. They made a good couple.

These three guys enjoyed a day at the End of the Pavement. People drank long neck bottles for a while. Then we outlawed them because they were heavy and cost too much to get rid of at the dump.

Harold really rocked that felt hat. I wanted one just like it.
